Prerequisites
LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical
Installations (601/5929/7)
This qualification is aimed at experienced and practicing electrical operatives that do not hold, or wish to renew an initial verification qualification, or learners that may be new entrants to the electrotechnical industry. On application for the qualification, center will carry out an Initial Assessment of the learner’s capability to complete the qualification.
• BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (current edition) qualification.
LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification, Periodic Inspection and Testing, Condition Reporting and Certification of Electrical Installations (601/5928/5), and LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection and Testing, Condition Reporting and Certification of Electrical Installations (601/5930/3)
These qualifications are aimed at experienced and practicing electrical operatives, they are not to be taken by learners with limited experience of working in the electrotechnical industry, or who do not already hold relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications. On application for the qualification.

RPL:
The Center will carry out an Initial Assessment of the learner’s capability to complete the qualification.
Awarding body has an RPL policy. RPL and Attainment is the process used for recognising learning that has come from experience, previous formal and informal learning or attainment. RPL is used to to evaluate suitablibity of the learner in th course.
Assessment
The controlled assessments comprise of:
- Online multiple-choice examinations
- Short written response questions
- Trainee need to carry out Practical assessments.
